August update is here. A little bit late, but it’s finally here. As always I will go through 9 categories and try to score them from 0 to 3, where 0 is no progress, 1 is tiny progress, 2 is some progress and 3 is gigantic progress.
1. I will learn a new research method this year
I am focussing on processing data in Qualisys as fast as I can. Then I can process the data in Visual 3D.

2. I will master one new statistical concept this year
Nothing to report here this month, mainly doing data processing and writing.
Progress: 0/3.
3. I will invest in relationships
Busy months with goodbyes and networking.
Progress: 2/3.
4. I will set up a healthy schedule/lifestyle
Relatively good month. The end of summer is treating us well in Tokyo. After a few months, I have finally got used to the weather and the summer will finish so soon…

5. I will set up an outreach plan
Instagram: I think I have posted every day this month. In September I will do #TheLeveragedPhD challenge again.
Blogs are going slow as I try to put most of my efforts into data processing and writing.

6. I will come up with (my dream) a job
I have applied for another job. No reply so far.

7. I will make a plan for the future (20 years)
I have started writing a book. I went from hating writing to loving writing. Maybe someone wants to do the same. Watch this space.

8. I will dare to start the project which I have always wanted to do but did not have a chance to realise
We have published a protocol paper from this project. Well done us! Now, I am working on a full draft of a results’ publication. I thought that it is ready, but then I have read it and it is not ready at all!

9. Postdoc progress
Done with data collection. I am processing a lot of data. I have prepared the reports for the first team who took part in my study. I have talked to the team about their results and answered lots of interesting questions.
